Australians Are Set To Pay $200 MORE For An Everyday Need
The cost of family health cover is about to rise by up to $200 a year after the government today agreed to a 4.8 percent premium increase.
The increase is THREE times the rate of inflation and will see singles spending an extra $100. However, the increase is the lowest in ten years, but the Health Minister is looking to work with insurance companies to deliver better deals for Australians.
'I have already made this clear to the insurance companies and received a commitment that they will work to that end,' he said.
Around 13 million Australians have private health insurance, and prices rise yearly taking into account the cost of health procedures.
