P!nk Throws Her Support Behind The 'Save Luna Park' Campaign
P!nk has thrown her support behind Sydney's Luna Park calling the iconic amusement park and popular tourist destination one of her family's favourite places to visit.
The pop star's backing comes after it was reported that the long-term future of Luna Park is in doubt after a court ruled the fun park does not have the right to install or replace any new rides without seeking development approval.
Luna Park, opened in 1935, announced six new rides last year as part of a $20 million overhaul to the attraction.
Over the past couple of months, the hashtag #SaveLunaPark has been trending across Twitter and Instagram, and P!nk has added even more noise to the campaign.
“I hope Luna Park is around for ever and ever and ever!!!” she posted, alongside an image of her children Willow and Jameson.
Luna Park is such a special place to me and my family. We’ve shared some incredible memories there - it’s one of the places we most look forward to visiting when on tour. I hope Luna Park is around forever and ever and ever!!! 😍 #savelunapark pic.twitter.com/Ywv5bvnsHy

Luna Park attracts more than one million visitors a year, but Sydneysiders are nervous that pressure from nearby residents and developers could ultimately shut down the attraction.
