Zac Efron Will Star As World’s Most Notorious Serial Killer

Ladies, Zac efron is starring in an upcoming movie and it is NOTHING like anything he has ever done before.

We're so used to drooling over his chiseled muscles and dreamy smile. BUT, that is all about to change as his new role is on the rather creepy side.

The hollywood hunk has been cast as one of the world's most notorious serial killers, Ted Bundy.

The movie is called 'Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile' and it will be shown through the perspective of Bundy's longtime girlfriend, Elizabeth Kloepfer.

It was Kloepfer who eventually handed Bundy into authorities after years of denying all of the horrific accusations against her partner.

Michael Costigan, who will be producing the film has said that despite Efron's history with comedic films, he will be the perfect fit for this role.

"Zac is perfect casting, as he can play both the depth and the charm that this guy had in equal measures, and which allowed him to manipulate these women in such a terrifying way. We think in the vein of Nightcrawler or even The Jinx, we are making a psychological thriller that will resonate deeply with audiences."

So who is Ted Bundy and how did he become known as one of the world's most notorious serial killers?

Throughout the 1970s, it is alleged that Theodore 'Ted' Bundy confessed to murdering more than thirty women.

After being jailed, Bundy managed to escape from prison twice, during which time he killed a further three people, before being ultimately captured in Florida in 1978.

In 1989, the serial killer was executed via electric chair for killing thirty women, however, authorities who worked on his case have reason to believe there were more victims.

Now I'm a bit unsure how I feel about the Baywatch star taking on this role.

Don't get me wrong, if I look at pictures of Efron and Bundy side-by-side, I can definitely see a resemblance.

And good on Zac for branching out from his normal roles.

BUT I literally don't think I'll be able to look at the innocent Troy Bolton during HSM reruns the same way ever again...
