You'll Never Guess What Dieter Brummer Is Doing Now
He first made his way into our collective hearts by breaking into Fisher’s house on Home and Away, now Shane Parish Dieter Brummer is responsible for launching other people towards the stars.
The 90s heartthrob has been spotted in Perth working as part of the Dinner In the Sky team.
Brummer’s lesser-known high-rise abseiling skills landed him the job of securing guests in their safety harnesses before they’re hoisted 50 metres for the ultimate in ‘pop-up’ eating.
But that’s where Brummer’s cameo appearance ends – his feet remain on the ground during the sky-high experience.
While Brummer has appeared in two series of Underbelly, Neighbours and Winners and Losers, he’s best-known for his role in Home and Away.
In 1993, just one year after joining the cast of Home and Away, he was voted ‘The Prince of Soap’ by Dolly readers. He won it again the following year.
In both 1995 and 1996, his portrayal of Shane Parish won him the Logie for Most Popular Actor.
He was written out when his character died from blood poisoning. The soundtrack to the harrowing scene was Hunters & Collector’s Throw Your Arms Around Me. Some of us are clearly still affected.
Prices for the unique ‘In The Sky’ experience start at $239…. However, you can register to win a spot at the table with 96FM's Carmen & Fitzi. Click here for the deets.
