This Uncovered ‘Devil Wears Prada’ Scene Changes 'Errythang
It has been over a decade since the release of The Devil Wears Prada (2006). Seriously. Where has the time gone?
Basically the premise of this film is as follows: A smart but sensible graduate of journalism lands a job as an assistant to Miranda Priestly, the demanding (devil) editor-in-chief of a high fashion magazine.
The film is based on the book of the same name, stars Anne Hathaway and KWEEN Meryl Streep; along with big names such as Emily Blunt, Stanley Tucci and Aussie Brendan Baker.
The entire movie centres on the tense relationship between Andy (Hathaway) and Miranda (Streep). Andy spends the better part of the film bending to Miranda's every whim, which finally happens right before the closing credits. (SPOILER – But it’s been 11 years…)
According to the below deleted scene, their dynamic as a duo COULD have been VERY different.
I'm just seeing this deleted scene from The Devil Wears Prada for the first time, and honestly it changed the whole movie for me pic.twitter.com/6Zkr6UxHQO— Spencer Althouse (@SpencerAlthouse) August 28, 2017
"I'm just seeing this deleted scene from The Devil Wears Prada for the first time,” Spencer Althouse, a US Buzzfeed Manager tweeted, “And honestly it changed the whole movie for me."
In the clip, Andy diffuses a potentially awkward scene between Miranda’s husband and Miranda’s boss. Miranda then mouths “thank you” to Andy. WHAT?
Miranda has a heart?? This would have changed the course of the entire film a lot sooner!
What do you think?
