The WRONG Name Was Read Out For The Best Picture Oscar
It's Miss Universe: The Academy Awards edition.
In a mess-up of monumental proportions, Hollywood greats Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway accidentally announced the winner of Best Picture - the most important, and last, award of the night - as La La Land, when the card actually read Moonlight.
But the gaff wasn't realised until the entire cast of the critically-acclaimed musical were on-stage and nearly finished their speeches.
"We lost, by the way," one of the producers flatly announced into the mic, before a second stepped up and called the Moonlight crew up.
"There's a mistake," he said. "Moonlight, you won Best Picture. This is not a joke. I'm afraid they read the wrong thing."
In an awkward shuffle, the two casts and crews - including an incredibly emotional Emma Stone, clutching her Best Actress gong - switched places, while host Jimmy Kimmel tried to keep the now-chaotic live ceremony going.
The mix-up came about after Bonne & Clyde stars paused before reading the names; Warren Beatty claims the envelope read "Emma Stone, La La Land", while Faye Dunaway says she only saw the La La Land part after chiding her co-presenter.
