The ONE Thing Bloggers Are Doing To Beat The New Algorithm
When Instagram introduced their new algorithm change last year, pretty much no one was happy. The new changes meant people were seeing old content in their feed, timelines were not sorted chronologically and all up, it meant people lost followers and likes.
However, business bloggers who rely on the feedback from their followers may have found a way to boost their engagement and force their photos back onto people's feeds, using a system called "pods."
"Pods" is basically a group of Instagrammers who work together to boost their posts. Racked reports that a group of people with similar accounts — lifestyle bloggers, beauty bloggers, travel bloggers, etc. — who agree to like and comment on each other's photos in an attempt to give them a ~boost.~
In other words, teamwork is saving Instagrammers.
Happy Mother's Day to me! The hubby treated me to a special gift for my first mother's day. Sky high heels from my sky high office 😀👠 And, like he said, they're black so they're practical. I love that rationalization! #christianlouboutin #christianlouboutinheels #spoiled #luxury #redheels #mothersday #mom #momlife #mompreneur #grateful #highheelseveryday #fashion #style #shoeporn #highheels #windowview #corneroffice #cityview #downtownsandiego #sandiego
But a few heart-eyes emojis and "OMG" comments won't make the cut. There are certain rules to follow when you're in a pod. These involve commenting with sentences with 3 or more words. And the comments have to be relevant to the post and fit with the brand or content.
There's still no proof that these pods will help beat the algorithm, but hey, it's worth a try.
