Sara And Hayden Reveal The REAL Reason They Won The Block
After their shock win in the The Block's grand final, controversial couple Sara Tumino and Hayden Vale have revealed what they think helped get them to the biggest profit of the auction.
Despite being constantly criticised by the judges and at one stage receiving the lowest score three weeks in a row, they came from the clouds to with their apartment selling for $3,020,000 and as a result walked away with a $545,000 profit.
Now, outspoken Sara has now told 9Honey Homes the real reason the pair were crowned winners.
Sara said: 'We may not have won the most Domain points – we came equal fourth with Courtney and Hans – and we only won one room and came last in a lot of rooms, but at the same time, our flow through our apartment felt like someone needed to belong there,'
'We kept getting the bones right every single week, it was just more about the styling. We had time to go back and re-style and fix things,' she explained.
'In such a bad market, people are looking for space and more bang for their buck. They want a good amount of square metres for a good price, and that’s why I think the three apartments in The Gatwick did so well,'
As well as scoring $545,000 in Sara and Hayden also claimed the grand prize of an additional $100,000 – netting them a total of $645,000.
