Oprah Winfrey's Exciting New Job
She devastated fans worldwide when she announced the end of her talk show The Oprah Winfrey Show in 2011, after 25-years on-air.
But Oprah Winfrey will be returning to our screens. Actual.
We didn’t think we would see the day!
The 63-year-old former talk show host will be a special contributor on CBS News’ 60 Minutes.
She will start the job later this year and the new gig will see her bring occasional reports to the newsmagazine.
"I'm so excited and proud to join forces with this historic news program, which for me represents the bastion of journalistic storytelling," she said in a statement.
"At a time when people are so divided, my intention is to bring relevant insight and perspective, to look at what separates us, and help facilitate real conversations between people from different backgrounds."
Executive producer Jeff Fager called Oprah "a remarkable and talented woman with a level of integrity that sets her apart and makes her a perfect fit for 60 Minutes."
