Olena Just Called ‘BS’ On Richie’s Fairytale In The BEST Way

Last night, no-one was OVERLY surprised when Olena failed to get a rose from Richie.

Why? Because she’d spent the whole episode dropping truth bombs about how their relationship would struggle due to the distance.

While waxing their surfboards before a date, Richie asked what her parents thought of him during home visits - and got more than he bargained for.

Olena said her parents had concerns and — given Olena lives in Sydney and Richie lives in Perth — had doubts over the logistics of whether a relationship would work.

Richie tried to brush off her hesitation by saying they’d fly between both cities, but Olena was quick to slam him down.

“I see that as a huge mess for me,” she told us. “It’s travelling back and forwards for a relationship — like, is that going to last?”

“Going into the home towns, sitting with my family and talking to them, made me question things so much more,” she tells him. “As to (whether) you were living in a fairytale — this is the real sh*t.

“Be realistic about things — about the relationship, not about you. You’re a great guy but there’s more issues and more concerns and more things to think about.”

Richie was obviously flustered by this, as it’s not part of the regular Bachelor narrative, where everything is roses and people live happily ever after.

He also wasn’t too comfortable with all the finger pointing, so he flipped it on her and said she doesn’t meet him halfway with the communication.

“When I think about the relationship I’ve built with Olena and I put it on a scale — there’s patience and frustration,” he said.

“And it’s starting to lean a lot more to the frustrations.”

Fans on social media were quick to side with Olena. But Olena had the final word; “I feel like I’m really suppressing my feelings right now,” she told him.

“At the end of the day I’m thinking, is it too much of a hassle for us to have a relationship”

Unsurprisingly, Richie didn’t give her a rose and admitted the decision wasn’t hard. “Saying goodbye to Olena wasn’t that difficult,” he said.

“I want to be with a woman that’s going to love me for me. And someone that’s going to see challenges ahead and want to work and overcome them together.”
