Netflix Set To Make Thirteen Reasons Why Announcement

It’s a show that has been at the centre of heaps of controversy over the last few weeks but it looks like Netflix want even more of it.

We are of course talking about Thirteen Reasons Why.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, a writers’ room is already working on the second season of the show following its runaway success.

The first season focused on teen suicide, sexual assault and high school bullying, and is based on the novel by Jay Asher.

It follows a girl named Hannah Baker who records 13 cassette tapes explaining why she committed suicide.

While the show was only supposed to be a one-off series, the show's popularity sparked seasons two rumours early on after it left open ends in the final episode.

Since debuting on Netflix on March 31, 13 Reasons Why has become the most tweeted about show of 2017 so far. It has also received praise for triggering thousands of conversations about its portrayal of controversial topics.

It looks like season two as early as 2018.
