Making A Murder Part 2 Just Got A Premiere Date

Holy moly Netflix fans, boil the jug and sit yourself down because we’re about to spill all of the tea on what is sure to be some of the best news you’ll hear all day.

Remember the show Making A Murderer? That true crime Netflix original series that had all of us glued to our screens a few years ago? Well the long awaited second instalment is coming and it’s premiere date has just been released!

On Tuesday Netflix announced that they will continue the popular show with Making a Murderer Part 2 set to premiere on their streaming service on October 19.

If for some reason you missed the first instalment of the show, and if that’s the case we highly recommend you spend this long weekend catching up on all of the episodes, the original 10 part series chronicled the journey of Steven Avery and his nephew Brendan Dassy.

The show tells the story of how Avery was wrongfully convicted of sexual assault and attempted murder in 1985 and served 18 years in prison before DNA evidence exonerate him. Then in 2006, just a few years on from being set free, Avery and his nephew were convicted of the murder of 25-year-old photographer Teresa Halbach.

Avery maintained that he was innocent, and the show delved into the way that the justice system handled his case and examined evidence.

Making a Murderer’s second instalment will follow the series creators Laura Ricciardi and Moira Demos as they return to Manitowoc County in Wisconsin to follow Avery, Dassey, their families and legal teams as they continue to fight the conviction.

“Steven and Brendan, their families and their legal and investigative teams have once again graciously granted us access, giving us a window into the complex web of American criminal justice,” Ricciardi and Demos said in a statement via press release.

“Building on Part 1, which documented the experience of the accused, in Part 2, we have chronicled the experience of the convicted and imprisoned, two men each serving life sentences for crimes they maintain they did not commit. We are thrilled to be able to share this new phase of the journey with viewers.”

We’re thrilled too guys! Our bodies are SO ready to binge watch part two!
