HUGE News For Survivor Fans Ahead Of The Series Finale!
The first series of Australian Survivor finishes on Tuesday night and it’s already been renewed for a new series!
Show producers have put a Facebook status on the official page saying ‘We are excited to announce that Australian Survivor will be back for a second season in 2017.’
'Think you have what it takes to outwit, outplay and outlast your way to the title of Sole Survivor? Applications are open NOW.'
The advertisement encourages men and women of all backgrounds who are physically and mentally strong enough to survive in extreme conditions to apply.
Applicants must also be able to 'engage with others, be confident and be comfortable living in close quarters with strangers'.
'Survivor, the most challenging reality show of all time is returning in 2017 and wants you!' the advertisement reads.
The prize fund stands at $500,000, in return for 55 days of intense battles with twists and turns like no other.
The casting call comes just days after Survivor host Jonathan LaPaglia told the Daily Telegraph he was ‘semi-comatose’ by the end of the series.
'It was just non-stop every day. I literally had one day off - that I had to fight for - in the entire 58 days I was on the island,' he told the publication.
'I was totally unprepared for how much work was going to be involved in this job. It's way harder than it looks.'
Australian Survivor airs on Channel Ten at 7.30pm on Sunday and Monday. The season finale will be aired on Tuesday night.
