OMG: This Is When We Can Expect New Music From Harry Styles
It's happening, folks.
In a matter of weeks, Harry Styles will be blessing us all with his debut solo record, according to a new report. Throughout the past year, Harry has been curating his own album, which is said to sound like David Bowie and Queen.
"In marked contrast to One Direction's production by committee, Styles has crafted a set that recalls the regal high-water mark of ’70s British rock, Bowie and Queen in particular," industry website HITS Daily Double writes.
WE ARE SO HERE FOR THAT.
The website added, that we could be expecting solo Harry to drop in a matter of weeks, "the lead single, which could come out as soon as late April or early May, sounds like it would be a smash in any decade."
Early last year during One Direction's hiatus, Harry signed to Columbia Records for his solo material. Last month the label's CEO Rob Stinger told Billboard, "We’re close and we’re very excited. We have a record we’re incredibly excited about and it’s not far away from being ready. We obviously want everything to be beautifully done, because we think he’s here to stay. Harry has stepped up with the vision of someone who’s authentic."
As for an actual date? This morning Styles' sister Gemma - who doesn't normally post photos of her little bro - uploaded this picture with the 'April 17' emoji...
Sure, it could be simply an emoji... or it could be the date we can expect new Harry Styles music.
