Gwyneth Paltrow Sitting Pretty For Full Custody In Divorce
Gwyneth Paltrow has been waiting for nearly a year for her ex, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, to respond to her divorce petition.
The US actress filed for divorce last April, but the British rock star, 38, has failed to reply and the case remains dormant, according to legal documents obtained by TMZ.com.
The judge has sent notice that Paltrow may now be eligible to get a default judgment, which would allow her to get joint custody of their kids Apple, 11 and Moses, nine.
The 43-year-old Oscar winner is reportedly using business managers to privately come to a settlement over the pair's assets.
Her 10-year marriage publicly came to an end in March 2014 after she announced the couple's decision to "consciously uncouple and co-parent" on her website Goop.
"It is with hearts full of sadness that we have decided to separate ... We have come to the conclusion that while we love each other very much we will remain separate," they wrote in a joint statement.
The two have remained friends and they have spoken publicly about their focus on providing the best for their kids, while spending vacations together as a family.
Martin is yet to comment on the progress of divorce proceedings.
