Gavin Rossdale’s Heartbreaking Confession About Gwen Stefani

They appear to have both moved on, following their very high-profile split in 2015.

But Gavin Rossdale has admitted he still has deep regret over his divorce from Gwen Stefani.

The Bush singer and Voice UK coach, 51, revealed to Fabulous magazine, that their marriage ending was ‘the complete opposite’ of what he wanted.

“[Divorce] was completely opposite to what I wanted. Really not…” he said.

“But here we are.

“Apart from death, I think divorce is one of the hardest, most painful things to go through.”

At the time of their split, it was rumoured that Gavin had an affair with the couple’s nanny.

And he admitted he wished his behavior had been different, saying: “I mean, obviously. I know we all wish that, but we can't so I have to deal with reality.”

He also described the No Doubt singer as ‘incredible.’

The couple share sons Kingston, 10, Zuma, eight, Apollo, three, from their 20-year relationship.

And Gavin says that he and Gwen, 47, have been able to remain amicable for the sake of their children.

“The one thing – the only good thing, because everything else is not good – is we care about the children and it’s about them. So we do everything to make this life change as seamless as possible.”

While Gwen has found love again with American country singer and co-star on The Voice US Blake Shelton, Gavin said he isn’t ready to date just yet.

“I’ve so much going on, that’s not a factor right now,” he says

“When they [their children] come to me - unlucky, it's just me! I always feel a bit like, ‘sorry about that’.”
