HBO Announce 'Game of Thrones' Final Season Premiere Date
Remember Cersei's infamous line, "When you play the game of thrones, you win or you die"? Well, that statement appears to perfectly explain how the final season of Game of Thrones will play out.
HBO has revealed that the eighth and final season of Game of Thrones will premiere in April 2019.
In a new teaser trailer (which you can watch above), scenes from the past seven seasons play out in a action-filled montage, with Jon Snow's line "There is only one war that matters and it is here" echoing in the background.

While the video doesn't feature any new scenes, it's successfully got us amped up for the final season which - from the looks of it - will be intense.
Peter Dinklage (who plays Tyrion Lannister) revealed in Entertainment Weekly earlier this month that the final battle would be "brutal", making "the Battle of the Bastards look like a theme park."
Only five more months to go!
