‘A Quiet Place’ Is Officially Getting A Sequel
We know that fans of horror films will want to shout with joy right now but shhhhh! Don’t. Make. A. Sound.
If Emily Blunt’s character can keep as quiet as humanly possible while giving birth in the movie than you can surely not say a peep when we tell you that this year’s hit horror film ‘A Quiet Place’ is getting a sequel that’s sure to be spookier and quieter than ever!
Paramount’s studio chairman-CEO, Jim Gianopulos, announced today at CinemaCon that the film would be getting a second edition with writers Bryan Woods and Scott Beck saying that they have plenty of material left over to explore.
“If you told me five years ago that an almost silent film starring the very funny guy Jim from The Office would have been a hit at Paramount, I would have said well, I should go work at Paramount,” said Mr Gianopulos.
The unique film has been extremely well received, having raked in $213 million worldwide already in the box office and having achieved the extremely difficult task of scoring 95% on Rotton Tomatoes.
‘A Quiet Place’ stars real life husband and wife John Krasinski and Emily Blunt, who play a married couple with two young children who must remain completely silent if they hope to escape the deadly creatures who are attracted by noise.
Krasinski was also the director of the hit film which has the biggest opening weekend for a horror film in history.
There’s been no mention of an official release date nor details about what exactly the plot will explore in this sequel, but we think it’s safe to say that fans will be pretty darn keen (in a silent way because hello, we’re scared) to find out what happens!
