A MAFS Contestant Has Been Rushed To Hospital
There is some sad news for former Married At First Sight star Clare Verrall.
The outspoken blonde has revealed she was recently rushed to the emergency ward after suffering what medical staff may have been a stroke.
Hello from my second home, the @thealfredhospital #ER 👋 #ClareLife So, I woke up with a weird feeling in my face today which got worse (I legit #WokeUpLikeThis #NotFlawless) Then the right side of my face kind of 'dropped' - especially the right side of my mouth which went all numb like when you go to the dentist. I called my Dr who ordered me straight to the ER as he was worried I could be having a stroke. Turns out, not a stroke (phew! That was a bit scary.) it is 'Bells Palsy'. Apparently my face will probably stay like this for 3-6 months. Awesome 🙄. So this is my smile now apparently as the right side of my face isn't really working. Sexy!! #SomeoneIsStayingSingleAWhileLonger I also can't really close my right eye properly so I have to tape it shut at night I'm told & wear an eyepatch. Vision in my right eye is all weird as well & I can't feel the right side of my lips or tongue so I dribble when I drink my water & slur when I talk. #SoundDrunk Look like a bloody pirate!! Aghrrrr me heartys'! I need to get that swearing parrot that flew into my house a year ago back to complete this look. I have decided my pirate name will be "Ol' droopy face Magee" so feel free to address me as such until this is over. I'M HAVING THE BEST LUCK!!! It's actually just funny now. Like, come on life, cut me a friggin' break here! A reasonably accurate emoji of my face now-> 😜 Anyone else ever had #BellsPalsy before?? #GoodSmileNoLongerAnAttribute #GotToLaugh #ButOnlyWithHalfMyFace #ImGoingToHaveWineForDinner #AndDribbleIt #ShouldIStartDressingLikeJohneyDeppForAFewMonths? #PiratesLifeForMe #StressedMyselfOutSoMuchHalfMyFaceWasJustLikeNOPE
The outspoken contestant has told of a horrible tale of her face dropping and the moment she thought she was paralysed.

Working from the family farm for the next two days as I need some mumma bear TLC & home cooking while rocking my eye patch & droopy face. Eyepatch is real & I will be rocking it for a few weeks as my eyelid is paralysed so I can't blink. So I have to put some eye goo in my eye, tape my eye shut then get my sexy eyepatch on over the top. Super sweet matching hat care of Instagram. No make up, 53 hours of no sleep, 22 tablets a day & no filter ensuring I'm looking my absolute half functioning face BEST 💀 (ew) thanks everyone for the lovely well wishes & support x #BellsPalsy #PirateLifeForMe #FirstFarmTime #RestNeeded #Eyepatch #NotRemotelyHot #crookedsmile
She then called her GP who told her to head to the nearest hospital.
It has now been confirmed she has Bell’s Palsy, which is serious but is usually resolved within months.
Clare is still recovering but is expected to be OK.
