Joke Seth MacFarlane Made In 2013 Suddenly Makes Sense
When Seth MacFarlane was named host of the 2013 Oscars, many people got a little worried.
As the creator of Family Guy and American Dad, his humour had the potential to get a little… well, wrong - and there were concerns over what he would bring to the stage.
And critics were proved right, with his stint as presenter of the show being hailed as one of the most divisive in recent memory.
Among all of the jokes he told, there was one that stood out to everyone who heard it, mostly because they didn’t understand it at the time.
Seth made the quip after the nominations for the category of Best Actress In A Supporting Role were announced and his blue joke was super uncomfortable.
“Congratulations! You five ladies no longer have to pretend to be attracted to Harvey Weinstein.”
Now, in October of 2017, the joke all of a sudden makes sense.
Can he predict the future, or did Seth know something back then that no-one else did?
But Seth isn’t the only one to joke about Weinstein ahead of the recent reveal of his colourful life as the head of Hollywood.
According to TMZ, Tina Fey wrote a joke on 30 Rock for Jane Krakowski's character, who quipped:
“I'm not afraid of anyone in show business. I turned down intercourse with Harvey Weinstein on no less than three occasions... out of five.”
Obviously he had QUITE the reputation…
