The Ellen Degeneres Show Could Come To An End Soon
What would a sick day at home lying on the couch be without an episode of The Ellen Degeneres Show playing at midday?
She brings us some of the best celebrity interviews, awesome dance moves and laughter on the days when we’re not feeling our best, but it looks like this could be no more in the very near future.

Ellen herself has announced that she’s considering bringing her popular daytime talk show to an end for good. And while we know all good things must eventually come to an end, we just weren’t ready for this one.
The comedian revealed the pretty devastating news to The New York Times saying that while the contract for hosting the show has been extended until mid 2020, she might not take it any further than that.
Degeneres added that she’s unsure what to do about her career due to conflicting opinions from Vance DeGeneres and her wife Portia de Rossi.
“She gets mad when my brother tells me I can’t stop,” she said, revealing that de Rossi is pretty keen for her to take a break from her talk show.
“I just think she’s such a brilliant actress and stand-up that it doesn’t have to be this talk show for her creativity,” de Rossi added.
“There are other things she could tackle. I don’t see the end of her show as her career-ending.”
On the other hand, Ellen’s brother Vance has been urging her to continue with the talk show, saying that “in the age of Trump, the country needs her positive, unifying voice on television every day”.
Ellen has hosted her own daytime talk show, The Ellen Degeneres Show, since 2003 and since then she has created 16 seasons, 2700 episodes and has spoken to almost every single celebrity under the sun.
“The talk show is me, but I’m also playing a character of a talk-show host,” Ellen continued to tell the New York Times.
Degeneres’ next project is a Netflix comedy special called Relatable which will be released soon.
And while we can take comfort in the fact that he show will be around until at least 2020 and the fact that she won’t be retiring altogether, we’re praying that Ellen sticks with her show! We need this in our lives.
